AMERICA – DESALINATION PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Agua Via is the exclusive worldwide licence holder for the marketing and sales of an innovative nano-membrane technology pioneered by California-based Covalent.

To support the product development process, IWS has initiated a number of major projects in California to provide an operational environment for the establishment of the membrane in commercial contracts. These projects targeted a number of specific application areas; for the treatment of brackish water, seawater, wastewater, and oilfield ‘produced water’.

As part of this projects portfolio development work IWS has carried out detailed project development activities on a $70 million desalination plant for the treatment of brackish water for irrigation in the Central Valley, California. This has included hydrogeological and environmental assessments, wellfield and treatment plant site location, preliminary designs, project risk assessment, energy management strategy, and brine rejects management strategy.
