INDIA – INTRODUCTION OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

IWS is working with its technology partner Stattus4 to introduce an innovative technology into the Indian water sector. This technology is currently being successfully used by a number of water utility companies to increase operational efficiencies.

The technology utilises a non-acoustic method of localising leaks in distribution networks. Based on the deployment of sensors within the network, pressure transient data is gathered and assessed utilising algorithms and artificial intelligence on a real time basis to locate leakage hot spots.

A pilot project is currently underway within a major city in India to demonstrate the benefits of this technology over conventional methods, ahead of a larger scale roll out.
